It is so good to see things returning to normal! I am pleased to announce that I have some wonderful singing plans for this spring and beyond. AlpenKammerMusik and Tanglewood were back in full swing as of last summer, as well.
I feel so fortunate to have had several fulfilling online events as well as recording projects during the pandemic. A new recording of Schubert's Schwanengesang and Schumann's Dicterliebe with Gilbert Kalish will be released this spring and I am also featured on Lyric Fest's recent release of the songs of Benjamin CS Boyle, singing his wonderful Lenoriana cycle with pianist Laura Ward.
I am grateful for my continued work at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, where the administration has handled the Covid crisis thoughtfully and creatively. They have kept us safe so that we can learn, teach and perform. I also find continued inspiration from my home studio teaching, encountering so much excellent growth and renewed commitment to singing during this time.
I, like many of you, have lost family members and friends to this terrible virus. Many of us have also lost much work and the ability to share what we feel we were put on this earth to do. Wishing you all good health - and I can't wait to sing for you in person again SOON!
